I assume you love beach resorts. Here are some of the Philippines' bests:

Siargao - A tear-drop shaped island situated 800 kilometers southeast of Manila in the province of Surigao del Norte. The coastline is marked by a succession of reefs, small points and white sandy beaches. Ideal for windsurfing.

Boracay - It is one of the country's most popular tourist destinations. The waters off the beach are ideal for windsurfing and kiteboarding / kitesurfing.

Panglao Island, Bohol - One of the main tourist destinations. You will love the while beaches. Ideal for scuba diving.

Apo island, ****** Oriental - It is one of the Worlds best known Community Organized Marine Sanctuaries, and as such it has been well documented, by the Global science community. The project was started in 1982. It is home to over 650 documented species of fish and estimated to have over 400 species of corals. Ideal for scuba diving.

The Philippines has many, many more tourist destinations. But beware, Philippine Islands are so attractive that you may not want to go back to your home country.

I visited Dipolog City on Mindanao, Manila on Luzon, and Cebu City on Cebu.

Mindanao is mostly agricultural and has problems with kidnappings and terrorists. However, I thoroughly enjoyed Dipolog and Dapitan. The prices were great, the people were friendly and it was exhilaratingly beautiful.

Cebu is beautiful and quite urban.

Manila is larger than NYC and has lots of crime and poverty. It is very westernized.

The question is why are you going? The Philippines is not a big tourist location, but very accommodating.

1. Boracay Island, located in Panay Island -Iloilo - stay in the hotel resort
2. Mindoro
3. Palawan
I enjoyed my stay in these three islands. If it is your first visit, it is wise to stay in a hotel close to the resort. Get to know the locals, they are friendly and helpful.
