Getting a Job... I need major help.?

Question

I'm 18 and in university... during the week i'm hella busy.. so im looking for a job that I can do on the weekends... here's my situation: I'm fairly well off (my parents bought me a house+ a car and they gave me like 2000$ cash)... but I want more to life, and I dont think 2000$ is going to last me long. I have no work experience so i'll basically take any job that pays me like 8$ or more. So..... how do i get a job, I dont know ANYBODY in this town (im new) do i just walk into a store and ask them for a job? Do I have to have a resume? How do i get paid?

wtf? I'm asking for advice and everyone here either doesnt believe me or blames me for what I got?

Congrats for being in school and taking initiative to find a job even though you seem to be well taken care of. I would start by getting the local newspaper and checking the classifieds for positions. Also, many stores will have "now hiring" signs in the window and you can just go in and ask for an application. At this stage, I would not think a resume is necessary...just fill out the applications and follow up within a week of each submittal. Good luck.

You aren't making sense, if you parents bought not only a car, but a house - - but then gave you just $2000 to live on, and you don't know anyone, no reason why you can't go apply at fast food restaurants, department stores. Na, don't believe you. Your story doesn't jive!
