so i got the sims 2 and installed it..but does anyone know the point of the game? I've made the sim and the house but what are the other 3 cd's for???i just need a lil more info about the game and what i can do...thanx

The other CDs are just for loading the game. You can only play the game on disk 1.
The game is really fun! Download stuff from thesims2.com, modthesims2.com, insimenator.net, and other sites! You can make really cute sims with custom clothing and hair! Some ideas to use are making yourself and your family, trying to get better and more creative at making houses, making really poor sims and making them have a really bad life (this works for when you're angry and want to take it out on someone), or my favorite things, making stories and lots and sims to upload to thesims2.com! You can also make clothing and hair using bodyshop, and wallpaper, flooring, and ground cover uing the Sims 2 Homecrafter, which can be downloaded at www.thesims2.com.
P.S. Also, once you've got the hang of the game, try buying some of the expansion packs like University (Where your Sims can go to college and live in a dorm)
and Open for Business (your Sims can own a resaurant, flower shop, toy store, etc.)! And if the game's boring for you, press ctrl+shift+C and type in some cheats! Some examples are:
"boolProp testingCheatsEnabled true" Case sensitive! Very useful cheat, but don't mess around too much, or you could delete your Sims. (To bring them back, shift+click on a Sim, say spawn/tombstone of L + D. Click on the tombstone and look for Add to family... Your Sim should be there.) If an error box comes up that says something, then says cancel, reset, or delete, press cancel first, and if that doesn't work, press reset. Delete will delete the item with the error.
"motherlode" gives your Sim family 50,000 monies. "kaching" gives them 1000.

Our first Sims 2 change right into a equipment which got here with Sims 2, Nightlife and BonVoyage --- far more reasonable as a equipment set then paying for the three one at a time. Sims 2 is a relaxing and addictive sport!

the point of the game is just to live the life as a sim. and also, you cna do many missions that are on the main menu. and the other CDs are just used for downloading. you only need Disc 1. and you can just live like a real person in the sims. its pretty fun. you dont have to do the mission things. but what you can do is just live life, get a job, have kids, generation-to-generation.

Well I'm not familiar with the computer Sims 2, but I do know that you are living his or her life. The other 2 cds could be for downloading the clothes, locations, and items that you can unlock. All you really do is tell her to go to work, get her promoted, and fulfill goals that they give you.

the point is to create family history watch a child grow from baby to grandpa/grandma. Get promotions take pictures to record history, i love the game.

If the other discs you are referring to are the expansion packs, then they allow your Sims to do more things and have more available items. For example, "Sims 2: Pets" allows you to buy your Sims an animal to take care of and breed.

There's no "point" really, it's just a game where you can do whatever you want. Maybe find love in a neighbor and marry, then have three kids. Maybe be succesful in your job and get promoted until you're at the top! It's really fun when you get used to it.
The other CD's it came with are for loading it. Put in disk one and it'll tell you when to put in the other disks. HAVE FUN!

the other one are for just installing the point of the game is to surive and try to rech your goals while havinf fun u can get a job go downtown go to sims2.com for more info
if u press ctrl,shift,and c at the same time a box will apear tyen in kaching to get more money and nicer things
