You don't trim armor, it's a cliched scam.
Trimmed armor is found as Treasure Trail rewards (members only, but nonmembers can get them through trades)

They can't trim your armour or shields. Trimmed armour can only be found on the members server by doing tresure trails. No one not even members can trim your armour so do not give them your armour or any money and report them next time you are prompted.

they cant its a scam..........trimmed armour is found in the game only (but only in member's worlds not free world's) so if somebody tells you they will trim your armour dont believe them and report them for item scamming

it doesnt get trimmed by anyone.it gets trimmed on a quest called treasure trials for members.maybe its a reward or something but thats wat ive heard

if your a nonmember, dont trade it with them. they steal your armour.
