I used to use limewire, but my AVG Free is preventing it from working. Upon a bit of research, I have discovered that limewire is very risky.
I wouldn't mind paying a small fee - maybe a subscription or something?
Itunes isn't an option as my mp3 player isn't an Ipod and you can't put the itunes onto it.
I have also tried Napster, but you have to have a Napster compatible MP3 player.
Anyone got any good ideas?
Thanks!

As long as the particular player recognizes mp3's, compatibility is bullocks. Many electronic devices come with interface software, but you can often get around that, or configure the interface software a little differently to make it do what you need it to do.

The software for an iPod, for example, will allow you to add mp3 files from anywhere on your computer, not just files you downloaded through iTunes.

most of the time you can go to myspace & they''ll have songs to download.

but PureVolume has probably the widest range of music, at least 1 of the artists songs (if not all of them) are for downloading.

then Xanga.

you can go to a music site right click on the link of a song & just hit save target.

it should show up in your windows media or itunes.

go to www.webjay.com they have tons of free mp3s you can download. and if you cant find the song on there go to www.bitlord.com and download bitlord (free) then you can download whole cds at once using torrents. also you can download software and movies.

I would highly recommend iTunes. Its easy and simple to use, and its actually LEGAL. Even though it costs 99 cents per song, its worth it, and its safe for your computer.
