i recently started watching the show last year, and i love it, however i got in at the times when izzie came back from all the denny fiasco, so i went and rented the tapes and didnt even realize how long it has been out, so my question is, i saw the 1st 15 episdoes of season one, and then 27 episodes of season 2, it stops with denny dying and izzie being in trouble, but last year i saw a whole lot of episodes that arent even on the season 2 tapes, so my question is...how many seasons are there? and how many episodes in each season? and what season am i missing from when izzy cuts the tube on denny and burke is shot up to this point, these missing ones are the ones i saw on tv last year...am i making sense to anyone? was that perhaps season 3 and this year is season 4?

apparently i work way too much and thought the season began in jan, which i guess it did but the shows i am looking for are the beginning of season 3, according to wiki encyc....the ones where is izzie is on the bathroom floor, abc doesnt have these, where can i see these episodes online at???

yes it was the season premiere i missed it and i cant find it at abc, all it has are the episodes of this year starting with 1-11-07, where can i find the season premiere?

I will try and answer all of these questions.
1. Season one only had 9 episodes
Season two had 27 episodes.
Season 3 is in progress and i believe they are at episode 15
2. The Denny and Burke saga was the finale of season 2
3. Season 3 started with Izzie lying on the floor and Preston's mother catching Christina dancing for him.
4. People seem to be confused by the Christmas hiatus but it is still season 3. Season 4 will start net September.
5. Check TV. com. They list downloads of these episodes. All you will find at abc.com is the last four episodes, but they are free. You can check places like Peekvid and Lime wire and Youtube but the networks check them too and shut those clips down as fast as they find them.

Denny dies at the season finale of season 2. The show is in season 3 now.

Burke has been shot and Izzie has just cut Denny's LVAD wire. George, Meredith, and Cristina all wind up helping Izzie keep Denny alive long enough to get moved up the transplant list and get the heart in question.

No this is Season 3. You are correct on the number of episodes in Season 1 and 2, but in Season 2 there were two Specials. Straight to the Heart, and Under Pressure. Maybe this is what you saw on tv and isn't on the dvd's.

There are two seasons before this one we are in the middle of the third.
You mean the end of the second season is when all the crazy stuff happens with Denny and Burke. Last summer they showed repeats from the first and second seasons I guess the most watched ones.

I thought the episode was great. I am also a big fan of the show. I think to some you would think that he would of reacted differently when he found out she was alive but i think it was sweet because it seemed like he just had to stand there and watch her because he loves her so much and the thought of loosing her was alot for him to take in. So when she turned to look at him standing there you just saw this relief go across his face. But i didnt know that addison is leaving the show. Wow!! I dont think it will be as good as greys anatomy but i guess we'll find out!!

They are currently in season 3. Season 2 was when izzy killed denny.

My sister-in-law just recently went to rent the 1st season too. Even though the box said it was the entire 1st season, it wasn't. Maybe this is what happened to you. I have had problems in the past with trying to rent entire seasons. Honestly, the best bet is to just buy the seasons. Yeah, you'll spend a little more money than you would with renting multiple DVDs, but then you'll have them forever and you can get your McDreamy fix whenever you want!

This is just the third season. I think that you must be confused. Season one had 9 episodes because it was a midseason replacement and season two had 27. Check Wikipedia. Maybe that can clear it up for you.

this is season 3 right now on tv...I own both the 1st and 2nd season's on dvd and i'm missing nothing season 3 started right where 2 left off....maybe you should go buy the dvd's....
