I think I might know what happens but I am not sure. Was the guy that dies...they say that he was changing his tire and the rim blew of and killed him. But was he really supposeably killed because he was gay??? Just wondering if I was thinking right.

In Brokeback mountain. the people found out he was gay and they kicked and punched him to death. The storey about the tire was just a cover up. When the boyfriend found out he went to the parents house. they new exactly who he was, cause them and there son had an honest opinion. It must have been so hard in there times. Am guesing that the boyfriend went on to live a normal life tho. He could never find anyone like jack Twist.

Ennis recalls the cases on broke lower back mountain and as he seems on the shrine to jack he says "I swear" he lives on in his trailer doing odds and ends jobs for handlers...and then the credit come it develop right into a romantic action picture in case you may seem exceeded stereotypes

the one rodeo guy and his friends beat him until he died. i think that he probably was changing a tire or was just pulled off the road, but they did beat him to death. he slept around too much with a lot of people and the word got around and the men didnt approve of him sleeping with other men. it makes me so mad that ennis doesnt find out the real reason because jacks wife is ashamed. well loved the movie!!!!!!!!

The wife said he was killed by a tyre blowing up in his face, but was killed by 'gay bashers'. She knew he was gay, but didn't want anyone knowing why he was killed, which is why she lied, but we got to see the truth. That's what i thought anyway.

they say one thing but what really happened was he was beaten to death. either he was hitting on someone or he was found out. that part wasn't clear. or i don't remember. i think his wife didn't know, maybe.
