I am interested in purchasing one of these phones but I'm not sure if I can use Instant Messaging services such as MSN, Yahoo IM and AOL. I need to know before I spend the 400 bucks!

The Sprint PCS PPC-6700 IS a PocketPC device.

What you want is an omni IM program for the PocketPC. Here is one from Handango that incorporates them all.

You have to use a 3rd pary program because the individual programs from AIM, MSN and Yahoo do NOT work on the PocketPC anymore - the program versions that DID work have been removed from the perspective websites. The only current software from those sites directly are for either Nokia Symbian Series 60 cellphones or for Palm phones.
