have tried highlighting from the list of searches and hitting "delete", but it doesn't work. How can I prevent foxfire from keeping a list of my previous searches? Thank you

go to Tools at the top and click Clear Private Data, then check your options, click okay, and your done :)

That should clear it out.

Then, you can go to Tools, Options, press Privacy button at the top, then go the Saved Forms tab, and you can uncheck the box that says Save search information.

in the tools menu at the top, select options , next select privacy, here you can put a zero for the amount of time you want the browser history to be remembered. also at the bottom is a button to clear this information. below this is the setting where you can select which type of information it will remember...hope this explains thing alot easier than saying just click this and that.. to anyone else putting their 2cents worth in. before typing something make sure you know than IE and firefox are not even close for changing setting of this type. all you do is confuse someone!!!!
