It helps to have a good education. Anyone with a college education will make more money than someone that doesn't even finish school.
There have been some terrific stories about people that are not white that GOT that education and went on to do quite well.

Not all white folks are rich or at least not in my house. Why do people ask such crazy questions? Just live with the way things are. Not all white folks fall in poop and come out smelling like roses. Some of us are just as poor as the one eyed, flying, purple, people eater, or the Hispanic person next door, or the Black woman down the street, or the Chinese man who's wife died and we in the neighborhood held a bake sale to help him pay for her funeral. Burger King has nothing to do with it. It is all in how you use your money and what you do with your life that makes you RICH. If you counted my money in my bank i wouldn't be able to buy a used horse to make glue. But if you look and count my blessings i am the RICHEST person alive. It is all in how you use your money and how your attitude is toward life.

I beg to differ with most of these answers, yes having a good education is fine. but most of the white people that are rich, didn't work for it, it was passed down to them from their relatives. yes some do work and acquire things, but we all know the story of where/how most became rich. any time a person has money, they are always going to fair better than the ones that had to work and never got paid. it is called working to make some one else rich, so please let's not just put this on an education level.
Even tho if some other race has a good education. and make good money, he/she is never going be as rich as those who were born into money, it is call having a head start. If we are going to answer questions on yahoo, the very least we can be is honest.

This has to be one of the most ignorant questions I have ever heard. I almost can't believe I am responding to it. First off, you should not label people. Second off, what is your definition of rich? I have come from an upper middle class family where everyone has worked. My father came from nothing to be very successful because he worked for it. My mother went to school, raised kids and worked full time while being a single mother. I have worked from the minute I was allowed to start working legally at 15. It was never because I had to, but because that was what was taught to me. You should open your eyes and see that what people have depends on their work ethic and attitude. Education will get you places you want to go, but if you don't have a good work ethic, you will be lost. With questions like this, you will never have a good outlook on life.

Some started out at Burger King.You have to start from the bottom,putting yourself through college can be hard.Working at fast food chains makes ends meet,but think about your long term goal.After that,you are set.It also teaches you how to manage your money.

I most differ from Ann j opinion and Kevin h Ann J is wrong my family has worked for the money they have and if they wouldn't have worked this hard we wouldn't have as much as we do Kevin h said selling crack which is horrible i am very religious and going to report Kevin
Note to Kevin--- You may be selling crack and may be rich but Ur money is illegal our family own a car dealership and every penny is ours legally!
