Some conservatives accuse liberals of wanting to destroy "traditional American values". That's such a vague term, though, so what do they mean?

I'm on thin ice here seeing I'm a foreigner but what the hey.
I believe it are things like traditional marriage,no gay relationships,the right to bear arms and other constitutional rights that are refered to when they speak of traditional American vallues

"Traditional American Values" are what ever can get the most votes at any given point in time. Like the death penalty and invading other countries.

im a democrat my values are better than any conservatives. im not running around trying to tell everybody whats moraly right its personal most people are not stupid and a woman should be allowed to have an abortion if she chooses for crying out loud its her body not the moral majoritys. what we find out about alot of these religious leaders is that they are a bunch of phoney godless perverts praying on the weak and young i have my own one on one relationship with god thank you very much. i guess thre will always be users to screw over and take advantage of the weak and needy god bless the people who really help others god knows who they are

That's from the leave it to beaver days when women stayed at home, schools were segragated and stuff like that.

They mean slavery, Jim Crow laws, segregation, women out of the workplace, children beaten by their parents for speaking freely, gays in jail and everyone forced to attend church.

Traditional American values have nothing to do with slavery. Both sides oppose slavery. Traditional values got rid of it.
I believe it is a recognition that liberalism is destroying the core values of personal responsibility, that freedom comes with responsbility, and that moral licentiousness is destroying our nation's children.

slavery is not a traditional value. it was needed to build this country and it s time for them to leave bc thats all blacks do is complain. go rejoin your tribe and be happy. good luck
