if you know the people your chatting with
or the people who are your friends on your account no, it isn't a waste of time
but if you are chatting with random druggies and people you don't know
that is something idiotic and a waste of time
and just as a disclaimer to the first person who answered they obviously don't know anything about myspace because you can make your profile private , and the only people who can view it are
1) the people you give permission to view it
2) the people who know the last name you typed in for your account
3) the people who know your email address
or
4)your friends.
you should only do it
if you know the people who you are doing it with

some people like myspace i dont use that i use you-tube and or music website to me myspace isreally dead oh i know there is a lot of people who use that website they like it i guess i dont too me myspace is a waste of time too others maybe not so everyone too there own liking i say

ya cuz its better to talk to someone in person than leave comments on their myspace, but if you cant talk to them in person i guess its a good way to communicate, so no its not a waste of time always.

Yes, and very insecure too. Anybody can log on and get everything about you. I personally will never use it, and don't think it is wise to. Especially in today's day and age.
