Yes. He was in the British special forces where he trained as a survival expert. The camera he's on is the one he brings in with him. There is no camera crew.

I would say he does do everything on the show, but if you watch the credits there is always a specialist/expert credited that is not bear.

That's what they want us to think, but I doubt it....he probably gets some help.

Althought there is always a camera man following him, so they must get some help.
