Geographically it makes sense to go to Poland before seeing Prague and then continue working your way south. Go to Dobrovnik and then travel north again but through Belgrade and then Lubijana before going back to Germany. Visit Bratislava and Brno on your way back.

take the train from germany to prague, train again to budapest, however, it may be worth it (time and money-wise) to go back to berlin and get a EZ jet flight to budapest or krakow. don't think EZ jet goes to Dubrovnik yet. We flew a cheap airline to split, croatia and took the ferry to dubrovnik.
best thing to do is check out www.whichbudget.com. you won't believe the cheap flights you can get. ...often cheaper than the train. just not many flights to prague

I've been in Dubrovnik many many times, I'm from around there. You can go from there to Sarajevo (Bosnia), great city to see, such a diversity of religions and cultures. Then take north through Zagreb(Croatia), great city to tour as well. All these cities have great food by the way, and very affordable. Or, if you decide to go back along Adriatic Coast, be sure to stop in Pula, it has a Roman Colosseum that is better preserved then the one in Rome. Then you can go to (Wienn) Vienna (Austria)-- it's one of the few major cities in Europe that was not bombed in WW II. You must try Vienna Strudel, and Sacher Torte. Have a great trip, hope this helps.

The Student Agency Coach service is very good for travelling to and from Prague. It is very cheap and often quicker than the train. You can book it's services online, in Prague Airport or in Prague Coach station.
