Hello ladies, I haven't been on here in a couple of days. But I'm back = ]] Right now I am 11 weeks pregnant. My next appointment is on February 15th. I'll be 12 and a half weeks by then. I know she'll use the doppler again. I'm excited to hear my precious little baby's heartbeat. Everytime I think about it I cry with joy. BUT I heard it sometimes takes time to hear the heart beat. Just wondering, when did you ladies hear a heart beat, on a doppler??? ( Weeks ) = ]] Thank you.

The first time she used it, it was to early to hear. ( 8 weeks ) My period is inconsistent with the gestional age. By two weeks. So I would have been 10 weeks then.

I had a miscarriage two pregnancies ago and was very scared about the whole heart beat thing so I rented one of those heartbeat dopplers from Stork radio around my 10 th week. They are the same one the doctors office uses. I got the digita one so I could see the beats rather than count them anyways with my last pregnancy I had this and low and behold at 12 weeks I could hear the little heart beat. It was the neatest thing and it save alot of axiety on my part that I could just listen to it anytime I wanted.

I was 10 weeks at the earliest time they were able to pick it up. Don't get scared if they can't find it either. Just a quick story here to share with you. I was 17 weeks pregant with my first baby and none of the doctors in the clinic could hear his heartbeat. They prodded all over my belly with more than one doppler and still couldn't pick it up. So, they sent me for and ultrasound and there it was ticking away!!! So, please don't loose faith if even at 12 weeks you don't hear it.
However, I bet you will and it will be the most beautiful thing you'll hear up until that babys first cry!!
~thanks now your gonna make me tear up!! lol!!
Good luck!!!

If you are 11 weeks they should be able to hear the heart beat. It may still be a little tricky as for the position of the baby may be set to the back of your uterus.
I remember when I was pregnant with my DD they had to chase her all over to find her heart until I was into my 20th week and she was big enough not to hide anymore!

Best of luck to you and not to worry to much, if you are that concerned she should be able to do a vaginal ultrasound and then she most definately will hear it. This is closer to the baby.

i dont know why, but i was able to hear the heartbeat at 7 weeks, no problem and i had an anterior placenta, but usually it's not that early, 10 weeks or so, depending on your size physically and the placement of your placenta... =)
