Yes what happens is that the moons gravity pulls the water in the human brain and therefore that affects a persons thinking and mood. I have heard that law enforcement gets more reports of domestic disputes and violence during the full moon period.

There have been suggestions that the moon does change human behaviour and even cause temporary madness.

The word "lunatic" originates from Latin, with "Luna" meaning moon. It was used to describe madness brought on by the phases of the moon's cycle.

However, some research into human behaviour during a full moon suggests something is going on.

Police in Toledo, Ohio recorded a rise in crime by five per cent during nights with a full moon:

A survey in the UK found that car accidents rose by up to 50 per cent during a full moon:

Spooky!!!

I worked with a bloke called Gerry for 15 years, and he was mental at the best of times, but on a full moon he was much worse. It was suggested as a joke one day by members of our shift, and later on checking, we found it was a full moon. To make matters worse, we worked shifts, and sometimes the full moon would occur on the times that we were on night shifts. Oh Boy! Did we have fun and games with that prat.

From that time on, we logged his behaviour on each full moon, and invariably his moods and tantrums were far worse on that day, and the days preceding and succeeding a full moon.

Instead of just moaning and moping about within the workplace, on full moon days he would head-off to personnel or a director's office, and lead merry hell regarding all manner of supposed injustices and complaints.

A nutcase at the best of times, on a full moon... serious mentalist.

Every two weeks on the New Moon and the Full Moon, the alchies get their giro and go on a bender. Moods are inebriated.

Yes I do. Did you know that more arrests are made on a full moon than any other time of the month?

I think so! My mum's a teacher in a secondary (high) school, and she's noticed that the kids are definately more restless and crazy when it's a full moon. Maybe the idea of werewolves isn't so insane after all...
:D

It isn't called 'lunacy' for nowt love. I had to escort a patient to a psychi hospital with two policemen on a full moon. The bloody racket was unbelievable!! The policemen(both built like outhouses) wouldnt come in the building!

Yes it does. I had a friend who caused trouble everwhere we went whenever there was a full moon. Werewolf stories are based on these findings

Definitely. People get stressed out and drive really aggressively. You can feel the tension in the atmosphere. I'm not superstitious but I've found this to be true time and time again.
