There are several books by Frank E. Peretti that you will not be able to put down once you start reading them. There's "This Present Darkness" and "Piercing the Darkness" (a sort of miniseries), "Monster", "The Visitation", and my sister says "The Oath" is a great one.

Depends on your interests, but if you like suspense Check out anything by Dean Koontz especially Life Expectancy and Velocity. I read them both in less than twelve hours (on different days). I literally could not put them down.

"Left For Dead" by Kevin O'Brien was to my surprise one of the best mysteries I have read in the last six months. If you have to go somewhere and need to quit reading it. You won't be able to wait until you can get back home to read more.

J. Irving 'Until I Find You'. It's a long book, but it was one of those books that I loved so much I wanted it to go on for years.
