Why is housing in CA so expensive?? The predominate architectural style makes the houses look like mexican restaurants.

I live in southern Cal, and the housing is high, though it is leveling off, and even coming down in some areas here. It is high because wages are higher, people want to live here because of the climate, and unused land is scarce so you can't just build a new house.

I happen to like mexican restaraunts!

what part of california are you looking at? there is cheap real estate in the rural north.

it is mainly because the weather is nice and people like to live there
mild winters and not humid in summer
