Oh, yes, I have. The minute people find out I was born in Sweden the weird stupidity comes flying out their mouths.
"Am I the first black person you've ever seen?"
(Sweden has plenty of blacks, thanks. We are not racist. It's considered very rude there.)
"Do you speak English?"
(Uhhhh - I just was, wasn't I?)
"How do you deal with snow all year?"
(Summer does exist in Sweden. Most of Sweden is actually warmer than Michigan most of the time.)
"Do penguins fly or just swim? Don't their feathers get wet in the water?"
(I'm from SWEDEN, not ANTARCTICA.)
"So you speak Russian?"
(Bangs her head on the nearest wall and says "nyet")
I could go on for days about the stupid things I've been asked.

The one that crops up most often is unfortunately about Haggis. Some people (usually but not exclusively Amercian) still have an idea that it is some kind of animal. Can be good fun though. Depends how gullible tourist are.

Oh yes, as an American attending school in Wales kids asked me if I had a ranch. The show Dallas was big back then. I said yes, we owned Billfork.
When I moved to Texas from Maine, I was asked if we churned our own butter up there.

I am a Spanish man, and sometimes people outside of Spain ask me " You already did a corrida with a bull ?" or "you can play guitar like the Gipsy Kings?"

The question was, 'YOU LIVE IN VIRGINA? I HAVE A COUSIN, ENZO ACHENZA, WHO LIVES IN RICHMOND. MAYBE YOU KNOW HIM?'
I wonder if Europeans think all American telephone numbers start with '555.'
