Would it be Brasileira for a woman? Is Brazil spelled with a "s" rather than a "z" in Brazil?

Hi !!!!

My name is Vanessa and I live in a city called São Paulo, in Brasil. This city is 45 minutes from Rio de Janeiro ( by plane ).
The correct way to write Brasil is with " s " . And people here call themselves " brasileiro/brasileira " . And you are right, if it is a woman, you say " ela é brasileira " - (she is brasilian)
and for man, you say " ele é brasileiro "- ( he is brasilian ).

female- it ends with a
male - it ends with o

Portuguese is a little complicated...there are many different words that you may think it writes like this way because it sounds like this, but it actually writes in a different way...
I like Portuguese very much, it is a beautiful language. It is the same spoken in Portugal, only with different accents and sometimes, different expressions .

I hope I could help you !
Have a lovely weekend !
