The presents I love the most include spending shared time with my daughter . . . a lunch, a movie date, concert or an evening at home with videos and popcorn. I know my daughter doesn't have much money and besides at this point in my life I don't need things much but I cherish time with her. If you want something in a box - watch what she wears and get her a new one of something that's a favorite but getting a little shabby. My daughter has given me all my sweatshirts because I get one and wear it til it falls apart. I love bath bubbles too and pretty nightgowns but don't buy such for myself. Arrange a housecleaning party while she's at work our out for the day. Or give her gift 'certificates' - say one a month for the rest of the year for time to do something she likes doing with you. Make or buy special card for her that honestly states how happy you are that she's your mom, that she gave life to you, and that you love her. These are things that moms love.

For xmas one of the families I work with gave me a gift certificate to a spa. I went today and had an aromatherapy spa manicure for an hour. It was incredible and my nails look fantastic. My hands and arms smell terrific. That was one of the best gifts I've received. I usually get my mom theater tickets - not movies - actual musicals/plays and she loves them. Get two tickets - one for you and one for her. Go together and make it a day together.

give her a day at the spa with all the works (or what you can afford ;) ), that'll make her feel like queen for a day. Even a bouquet of flowers and a gift certificate for a nice soothing massage will do.

How about these ideas:
These are just some ideas for your mother:
a family tree w/ everyone's birthstones
a plack with her name on it and what it means
or
two wooden letters that are her initials that is one that I gave my girlfriend that I meet at a local donut shop.
or
a designer pocketbook (with a gift certificate to a salon)

my mom always likes it when i give her something i made, like i know this sounds really childish, but i am 18. We give her pictures, like I drew a picture of our family once, i make dinner for her, my sister made this special box and filled it with all these tiny peices of paper--so that each day she could pick one out, each slip has a word of encouragement or just something nice.

A gift certificate for a spa treatment.........a massage, facial, or manicure/pedicure!! Moms get overlooked in the pampering department - remind her that she's worth it!

well every mom or mum i know loves candles, but some mom/mums i know like different scents for different seasons. Ask your mom/mum if she is like that. if so ask her what kind of scent she would like for this weather. i know that a candle will warm any home and makes a great gift for anyone!!!♥
