Which one is better Apple ipod or Microsoft Zune?

I have no experience with the Zune. I do own an iPod. I love it.
However I'm disappointed in the lifespan of it's internal hard drive. Apple admits to a 2 year life expectancy of the unit. I would have thought it would easily be twice that long. I've since bought a Sansa e250 because it has flash memory. This means no major moving parts to wear out. You need to decide how much time you'll be using the device. I put my iPod in semi-retirement to make it last longer. I no longer use it everyday. My Sansa plays video and music just as well as my iPod. It has a much lower memory capacity. I don't need to carry a months supply of music with me at a time. I bring my iPod with me to a party for everyone to enjoy my catalog of music.

It obviously depends on what you're looking for.

The ipod nano is a TINY flash mp3 player which can only hold about a thousand songs max. It has no video features or radio.

The Zune on the other hand is about the size of four Ipod nanos. it does however, have video capabilities, radio, and can hold well over the amount of songs that a nano can.
