We have to make this timer . Either an hourglass timer , sundial timer or any thing , the problem is that I can’t think of any good timer that is different?

apart from sundials and sandtimers.
other methods have been used to measure time including water clocks or clepsydra.

what about a candle i know for a fact that roman preists used candles at the foot of their bed as alarms and woke up when their feet wud burn i think a candle wud be a nice alternative
