File a report directly with the credit agencies. However, be aware that you may be held accountable for your comments. Talk to someone at the state consumer protection department to make sure you don't get sued. And sue him!

you can't do it directly any more.

First off, I have to wonder how somebody was able to stay for 3 months after stopping paying rent. You gotta act quicker next time!

You have two options (and you can do both)

1. Take them to small claims court and obtain a judgment, this will go on their credit report.

2. Turn it over to a collection agency. They will take at least 30% of whatever they collect on your behalf, and they can also put it on their credit report.

You need to do something, so that people will know that they can't take advantage of you this way. If they know they are going to be held accountable they are less likely to do real damage.

If you have a contract or lease with the tenant than it is CBT criminal breach of trust for not paying your rent.If the tenant has destroyed the place than it is vandalism. For both you should make a Police report. It will be documented and if carries on doing it the authorities will have to do something about it.Vandalism must be stopped at its roots.

Unless you have a subscription to the credit unions as a reporting company, you would not be able to make a comment on someone else's credit report. Imagine the chaos if anyone who had a grudge against someone could put negative things on their credit report!

The way you can affect his credit report is to take him to court for the damages. If you get a judgment against him, it will go on his credit report that way.

Also report to yoor locality's Rental Association - they should have a database that blackballs people. If you can't find it call an apartment complex and talk to manager.
