We don't actually, but he has been elected (kind of) and we are stuck with him for 2 more years. As are you, sorry. We are doing our best to contain him politically and fix the utter mess he has made of the US domestically and internationally.
I didn't vote for the man.
And please ignore the anti Clinton types. They refuse to admit that the Clinton years were a success domestically and abroad. We had peace (more or less) a thriving economy and a budget surplus. Apparently they are happier having pilloried a past President for an affair (very childish) rather than holding our our current one accountable for causing untold death and destruction for his own personal profit.
History will judge us.

THAT must be the MOST difficult question ANYBODY EVER posted here. There might have to be tens of millions of people in the street, since hundreds of thousands don't seem to be a media event anymore, and a good portion of the millions have to be willing to take personal risk like civil disobedience. The pain of that is too great and the commitment is too shallow against dictatorship.

Was Al Gore or John Kerry any better. The American people did not think so. They elected GW twice. This is just sour apples. The libs lost twice & wont take NO for a answer. You lost so get over it. Unless you have better canadates then you have right now you are going to lose again in 08. Who will you blame this time. Gw will not be there. If by chance you do win in 08 can i claim for the next 4 years that you stole the election?Or dont the libs steal.

Well, when everyone finally opened their eyes, his party was roundly defeated in the '06 elections. Without a parliamentary system, we can't just get rid of him. Why isn't he being impeached? Well, we fear they wouldn't impeach Cheney, too. Apart from that, I don't understand the inertia of my countrymen. I've written letters and called the White House, Congress, and the newspapers. I've shed a few tears at the direction of our great nation and the foolish short-sightedness of so many of our citizens.
Ultimately, we're fat, happy, and comfortable and it would take something unbelievable on Bush's part to raise people from their stupor. Or, I don't know, an independent media.

If you scare away the wolf too quickly, who shall every believe it existed?
If you let the wolf kill a few sheep, the village will be willing to fence the flock.
POINT: One must make mistakes to learn from them.

You are right on, but what can be done other than kicking him out and the Congress will not impeach him, so I guess we will have to put up with him until 2008

He was duly elected, and re-elected, and in the US, that is the way that it is done. Under the Constitution, the President has certain powers, including to be commander in chief of the armed forces, and he is exercising those powers -- which is what he was elected to do.

I DON'T tolerate him! Like a lot of other people, I voted against him in both 2000 and 2004. What are we supposed to do? Shoot him? Sorry, buddy, but I refuse to be executed on his account.

"We" elected him into office...twice. He hasn't done anything that warrants impeachment or removal form office (don't give me a thumbs down for that statement. If he had, then you know the Democratic controlled Congress would have already drawn up the paperwork) so we will have to tolerate him a little bit longer.

Fitting Name. The question should be. Why do Proud Americans, allow someone to trash Our President? Answer? `Cause we have Brave Soldiers, fighting to allow him to do just that. And Our President asked them to do it. And they volunteered to follow his Orders. We need to give them, all of Our support! God Bless The United States of America! and all who serve!
