Benetiz has a habit for doing this when his team lose or draw. They beat Chelski and people thought they could get back in the title race, then this draw by a tough Everton side made him angry. He says those things all the time

but everton is really not a small club,if they are, then how about fulham? wigan? man'city? sheffield? watford? HUH?
at least everton wacked his a** by giving them a draw at their home ground. they wacked their a** before by thrashing them 3-0 you remember? everton has a LONG history and they always have what it takes to stay in the top half of the premiership.

It's hardly heroic to simply state the bleedin' obvious but a pat on the back is in order. There seem to be be some curious codes of practice between football managers - presumably because all (except Rednose & Wenger) fear the chop from above at a moment's notice and/or dressing room revolts as and when things get sticky. Benitez seems to have had less than secure tenure at Anfield but riding top of the bunch he no doubt felt able to give a timely reminder to the authorities that Ferguson isn't a law unto himself. Let's hope other managers show the same attitude and tell Rednose to put a sock in it.
