"Symphonic Rock Project" redid it in 2000. Most recently a band called Gym Class Heroes released the song "Cupid's Chokehold", which samples the Supertramp tune.

not sure what is the name of the person and actually never heard the re-done version.
Supertramp did the original version from the album of the same name.
