I think many women do speak their minds. There are some issues, like sex, that men are not particularly enthusiastic when a woman says "hey, let's have sex." I have been with men who find that offensive. If that is the case, what is a woman to do? Sending out signals, such as body language may be her only recourse. Don't pin the blame on our gender - it is men who have objectified women for years in the sexual arena. In fact, up until about 40 years ago, it was considered "unladylike" to even indicate you "enjoyed" sex. The only women who enjoyed it were prostitutes. Men wanted "good women" for wives and mothers. In fact, they still do. It is like men want a angel for a wife and mother but a thousand dollar hooker in the bedroom. Geez, why don't you guys make up your minds!?

For me personally why I don't tell a guy (that I'm still coming to know) what is on my mind is because I first want to discover if I feel he is in balance with my way of relating before I reveal more of myself.
If I share with a man whom I desirous of that I'd like to have sex with him (as was in your question here) a man may feel that I'm being a bit forward.
I'm attracted to men of keen minds. A man of a keen mind will be able to read the timing and interest of a relationship and know when to say or when to share more intimately with a woman.
A man of a keen mind will be able to be respectfully attentive and strong in looking after us should a relationship develop further. A man who would pursue and know how to respectfully, confidently and honorably handle a woman is a man who I'd find of sex appeal, strength, character, value and interest.
Just this one woman's opinion.

I think women want our men to know what's on our minds by reading our body language b/c if he figures out what we want without us having to say it, that means he's actually paying attention and it shows that he's interested enough to want to know more about you in intimate ways b/c learning to know what someone is feeling or wants just by reading body language or by 'picking up vibes' is the sign of someone that is interested in KNOWING who you are and what you want. Showing such interest helps us to learn of mens feelings.
Men do the same thing but don't want us to know it...but men use body language to see if we'll notice too.

Woman want men to "know" them. It's not an awful thing, it is a subconscious way of getting what any person really wants, to be known for who they are. To see them as special and understand them. We want you to know what we care about, what makes us happy etc. The problem is that men want women to think like men and women want men to think like women. The guys that figure this out have very happy women who reciprocate.

when a woman feels comfortable that you will listen to what she says she will tell you whats on her mind, until then she will hold back trying to figure out how your going to react to what she tells you, no one wants to come across wrong so until she doesn't feel like your judging every word she will be guarded

Well, the man should read the womans mind and she will not have to say a word.
Who needs to say it, be natural about it.

because w/most men it does no good to talk. it usually goes in 1 ear and out the other or they get defensive. and also because we like to be mysterious.
