Is it possible or do i need to re-rip my cd's?

I would think you are using sony sonic stage software. In the software i think theres a converter. I havent used sonic stage for a few years now with advent of itunes and ipods. It maybe possible to select the tracks you want to convert and it should do it all.

I don't know if itunes accepts sony music files but if it does you could set the conversion settings to mp3, then add the tracks in your itunes library, right click each, & click convert to mp3.

Easy- Download iTunes for free and convert it there. Then, copy the file from iTunes and than you can put it into any mp3 player-not only iPods!
