There is a list out there that exists, but I don't remember the site right now. Doing an internet search should do the trick. If my memory serves me correct, Virginia Commonwealth is #1, Navy and Army are 2 and 3. I go to University of Cincinnati and it is a top 10 school. There are several ties within the top 10 rankings. My program is 27months, and 1 year (minimum) of critical care experience as a nurse is a must, though most of us have more than that. You also need your Bachelors in Nursing. It is a very competitave field to get into, but great once you get there! Good luck with your search.

You have to be a nurse (RN) before you can go to school to become a nurse anesthetist. You usually need a few years of ICU experience first. It's a rough curriculum, costs a lot of money, and is hard work. There are few jobs for PhD nurses, mostly in teaching and research. There are less physicially-demanding fields if money is all that you are interested in.

LOL...Saw the big salary huh...I understand. Yea they are very competitive and I think the program is three years if memory serves me correct. I think most require ICU experience. Good Luck.
