I hear this sentiment a lot. I feel it's naive. Politics enter all arenas of life.

From the time a child pits one parent against the other, til the time you get your foot in the door at an interview first to beat out the other guy-you are competing. Any you do to get ahead is just the same as this.

What do you suggest we do? Set back and let someone in? You do understand that someone else will do the same thing if we step back? So why should we get out of the race? Because you don't like it? You believe the world is fair and equitable? You think once other countries get their **** together they will be all "lovey-dovey" fair and cooperative? Get real man. This is the kind of thinking that hesitates real progress.

I like how you use the word "seems" because that's all it is. Things seem a certain way because not being in the position that decides affords you a certain level of ignorance that allows you to make such blind criticism.

Don't hate the smartest kid in the class. Rather, take refuge that you are that kid and that you have people who bust their asses to make hard decisions for you that you cannot comprehend.

Just honestly, what do you expect us to do?

I think the US has put a stop to at least three guys named Hussein who were doing to Iraq what you are accusing the US of doing. The difference is that they were raping more than just assets.

Do a search on CNN or any other news service on the number of new businesses that have opened since the US "invaded" Iraq. While you're at it, check out how many million women can now vote, or how many girls can now go to school. If women had dared to suggest that they had rights before, one of the guys named Hussein (and others) would have made her think otherwise.

You may also want to check out where the oil revenue in Iraq is going. Not to the US. Your question doesn't make sense. If you want to do more research, find out how much food, medicine, books, etc., etc. is given to poor (or not so poor) nations by the evil United States. Get educated and then ask a question that has a little more substance.

Remember, one thing we have going for us is that we change governments no more than every 8 years.

Change is coming.

As long as people keep wanting to fight us, we'll fight back. We're not going to back down to these little backward countries that try to push us around. I assume you come from one these countries.

Did we choose to go to war? No. We were attacked and we are punishing those who attacked us. Why is this so difficult to understand?
