Osama Bin Ladin called on Muslims to "obey God's command to kill the Americans and plunder their possessions . . . to kill Americans and their allies, both civil and military" . . . .he and his sympathizers want to eliminate Western influence and restore their version of Islam to the world.

Will we wake up in time to realize that "peace on earth, goodwill to all men" is NOT what is being taught in your local Mosque.

And just where are these "moderate" Muslims?
Why don't we hear their voices?
There is no such thing as a moderate Islamist, for all Islamists share the same long-term goals, they differ only over the means to the same jihad.

If the Prophet Mohamad teaches that "any non-Muslim killed by a Muslim, this Muslim will be in hell"...then WHY is the name of Mohamad and your god Allah brought forth at the moment of decapitation?

@ ILYA
Thank you for your comments.
You say I'm "being hateful and hypocritical" toward another (your) religion, but I'm not...because, I don't harbor the hatred it would take to want to kill a Muslim like the radical Islamic Muslims want to kill me.
You say not all Muslim's are "out there promoting terror"...ok, then where are the Muslims who are promoting peace?
Their voices seem to be very, very, silent.

ILYA...
I do understand and believe what you are saying...for those moderate Muslims that would like to speak out against radical Islam...they cannot, simply because of the fear that they and their family will become marked targets.
Fear is an effective controller and inhibitor.
Thank you.

I think anyone can see that what bin Laden is doing is clearly wrong. I’m muslim and I know it myself. I’ve been taught and believe myself that I is a religion of peace and harmony and the scripts written in the Qur’an are simply and guide and not to be interpreted literally. This has to be so obvious because we are not living in those times so obviously the values have changed and so should the way one approaches the way of life. Prophet Muhammad SAW always told his followers to approach his people with peace and treat those who aren’t muslim with peace just as well because they are our neighbours and we may one day need their help. Going about in terror and war is clearly not the way because for one, it’s killing many innocent people that have done nothing wrong and its bringing more fear than peace. Just because one certain group of people are doing it and it’s put everywhere on the news, people think that all muslims behave like that.

Some of us may not physically do anything but because of our faith, we pray for the wellbeing of everyone, that being muslims and non muslims alike because we’d rather not add more petrol to the flames and create more controversy towards our belief. It hurts us as well that people are putting down our faith, whether they are bin laden or anyone else who says that we are simply a religion that does not respect any other. Most of the things said and most things you see are not true and there are muslims out there who truly want peace and only go about their lives in peace and feel shame for those who do the wrong thing.

Osama Bin Ladin called on Muslims to "obey God's command to kill the Americans and plunder their possessions . . . to kill Americans and their allies, both civil and military" … Now ask the majority of muslims you know and find out if they think this is right. I certainly don’t.. I don’t see any reasoning to what he says because what’s is going to solve and where is it going to leave anyone? Maybe some muslims ONLY want muslims but I know they can do it in better ways than to “kill” and “plunder”.. just looking at those two words makes you think.. they aren’t words of logic or even respect.. they’re said out of hatred and that in islam, is a sin. Maybe this particular group see the world this way, but I don’t and a lot of the muslim people I know don’t either. Also, I’d just like to say that when people criticize other beliefs in spite of their own, it can get really hypocritical because it’s as if you’re saying that one religion is being hateful towards another, yet you are just doing the exact same thing towards OUR religion. Anyway.. that’s a bit off topic so back to the point.. not everything you hear or say or whatever comes from bin laden’s mouth is what is inside other’s muslim’s heads and we’re not out there to promote terror.

GENE, hi lol
no.. sorry, i wasnt particularly saying that YOU were showing hatred towards muslims.. i was just reading some of the comments people posted.. and well yeh, not the nicest things to read .. so yeh, i got a little off topic there. i know exactly where you're coming from, i mean im not exactly looking to be killed my radicals either...

and the fact about how some muslims are quiet about it.. like i said, some of us dont want to add more to what's already happening.. there are debates around the world that show the different perspectives of different muslims but actually taking physical action is hard unless someone wants to start a new argument. it seems quite hard at the moment to make moves without being critisised WHOEVER you are. you know? most of us i guess are just so afraid of what will happen that we dont do anything for the fact that we dont know WHAT to do... but then not following people such as bin laden is not wrong either.. i mean people like that have supporters, but the people opposing him are more than those who dont..

gaaah it's so complicated.

There's no such thing as the boogeyman, but radical Islam is real. There is an internal conflict inside Islam now; not all are radical, but the radicals are disproportionately vocal.
I would like to hear more from Muslims who hold their co-religionists accountable for bad behavior. In time, I am confident there will be.
Meanwhile, we have to get ready for the global crisis. And I'm not talking about global warming; if we don't deal with radical Islam, we may have Nuclear Winter before the ice caps get a chance to melt.

I agree with the first paragraph, since it is a fact.

I am not sure why you feel that second paragraph naturally follows. Are you under the missimpression Osama is the spiritual or political leader for all Muslims? He isn't you know. That is not to say that there are not some Mosque's even in the US that teach hate, it is just a major leap to assume they all do. They don't.

There are some Christian Churches that don't exaclty embrace 'goodwill to all men' either.

Muslims are very real...From the ones that kill innocent people to make a point, to the ones that keep pushing the west into giving in to their "needs and demands", to the ones that sit quietly, waiting. True, there are some good muslims out there, but giving them more attention than their more active brethren is a waste of our time.

How much Muslims do you actually know? I'm sure its only a few extremists that follow Bin Laden. Its interesting that you didn't ask this question about Christian fanatics.

Barley any Muslims are like that. Trust me, I am a Muslim and so I know a lot. I'm not saying that what those that you speak of are doing is right, but don't be afraid of being attacked in your sleep.
