Look. If there is an amount but no payee or payer shown , then it's fair game. Most money orders do not save the I.D. or personal info on the payer. The only record of the m.o. would be the carbon copy that is attached which would probably still be there.

Yes, of course...provided it has not been cancelled. There should be a 1-800 phone number on the back that you can call to find out the status of that money order. As long as it has not been cancelled, you are free to cash in on it.

Not unless you want to go to jail. These are not bearer bonds they are money orders which are being forged in the world today only a foolish person would even try and cash one. Because you can be prosucated for check forgery and conterfiting.

No...because it was not issued to YOU specifically.

If you attempt to cash it...the "owner" of the check will be a victim of a theft. By pressing charges against the "writer" of the check...you become the OFFENDER and are punishable by law!

I suggest looking at the print upon the check to determine the RIGHTFUL owner, and return it. Who knows...they may pay you a reward for your "honesty!"

No. If it is blank, then there is no amount shown, so no one would pay out against it. If an amount is shown, but you are not the designated payee, it would be theft.
