Doing waves in Physics. I have to know this to avoid embarrassment as my brother (4 years my junior) is closest so far, something to do with waves not being totally reflected. It's kind of a competition between all of us A-level physicists, and my little brother, who likes stealth bombers! I would really appreciate an answer because a guy in the year above who's just got into Oxford uni didn't have a clue. Is this cheating? Help!

my guess would be that the surface of each is etched with dimples. cd's to return a signal and b54's to disrupt the signal.

one is the symbol of peace and human culture the other of mass destruction often ironically labled as peace keepers.

in a cd/dvd the sole purpose is to save info in the form of minute electromagnetic strips of 0s and 1s.. when u put it in a player the player will send a wave to the cd's surface and with that electromagnetic wave determine, interpret and play the data in the cd/dvd.. basically this electromagnetic wave will only read the binary patterns on the disk

stealth bomber, and so do other western military aircrafts, are quipped with this tech called a GPS guide/ precision guided missiles.. similar to civillian GPS in cars this will pin point a location.. difference is it will pinpoint to a very accurate precision where the bomb will hit thus making it possible for bombers to launch from very far distance given that the pilot knows the longitude and latitude of the target.. this works this way.. the bomber sends waves to the satelite and the satelite in return will send waves to the bomber telling him where he is... the ground forces will give the pilot info on where to hit and the pilot will determine the targets location using the info given through the satellite.. once he launchesthe bomb, the gps in the bomb will send waves to the satellite and the sattellite will monitor how far it is from the target and this entire trip for the bomb from the plane to the target is guided by sattelite using waves.. this ensures a perfect hit.. however..
if u wanna blow up the parliament building of a country depending on the firepower of the bomb it is definitly gonna blow up innocent civilian houses on the side of the parliament.. the so called perfect and precise war isn't perfect afterall

I can tell you the difference

A stealth bomber absorbs radar waves and a CD/DVD reflects laser light, but I guess you knew that already.

A lot to do with waves, firstly a stealth bomber goes so fast you don't get a chance to wave goodbye, with my kids you can wave goodbye to CDs and DVDs, while as for AS physics just wave goodbye!

Without researching your question, i would presume its something to do with electromagnetic radiation. I think (regarding stealth aircraft) the higher the electromagnetic visibility the more likely it is to be picked up by radar, quite how that relates to cd/dvds (apart from the electromagnetic part) im not too sure..

It`s Christmas lads, for 2 days the plane will be left on their dispersal pans. we will appreciate the festivities without our households, right here in this desolate tract we are the kin. The officials will serve us the Christmas dinner. Jolly day. Boxing day next. It`s over lads lower back on the activity, we can submit seven tonight , 2 with flares, 5 with "a million,000 pound bombs" . the position are they going ? ours no longer to understand, they'll connect the different squadrons, then drone away into the evening wearing their deadly shipment. interior the morning, in common words 5 lower back lads 14 of our associates downed, prisoners or. the perfect un spoken. Get on with it get them kites waiting for tonight. chuffed new year all.
