She will be setting all kinds of pecedents and breaking all kinds of grounds for women in our lifetime. HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT THAT?

I meant she will be establishing pecedents & breaking ground in the US where women still have a hard time achieving these things.

i am so excited and relieved that it can be possible. but what is sad is that women dont go out and vote! we are the MINORITY at the polls! especially 18-25 group! they dont vote at all! if they did some research on the abuse, the trials and pain women had to go thru during the sufferage movement they would NOT be taking their votes for granted! and why OH WHY have they not designated a holiday in remembrance of the 19th amendment to the constitution. since it was the nov. elections of 1920 that was the first to allow all states to have women vote, i think we should have it then. but yes i am so happy and i think Clinton will do a wonderful job.

I agree, that ceiling has already been broken by many other countries in the world, like the UK (Thatcher), Germany (Merkel), India (Gandhi) as well as others with less international influence like New Zealand, Ireland and Iceland, to name a few. It would be the first time a woman had held the most powerful political position in the world but the precendents are there. I think Madelyn Albright and Condoleeza Rice are better examples of women rising to prominent, pre-eminent political positions in American politics than Clinton's election, were she to be elected.

This is not a glass ceiling for the world. There have been many elected head of government in the world. Some countries where women have become head of government are India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Israel, Germany, Argentina, United Kingdom, Philippines, Indonesia, Liberia, Pakistan, Iceland, and Ireland.

Hillary would make a fine and one of the best president. But I doubt the majority of the US women will vote for her: the reason is jealousy. How can they see a woman succeed so much. If Hillary is elected president, she will have broken the glass ceiling in US politics.

I hope the people (including women) of this country vote for the best candidate, and that is Hillary Rodham Clinton.

I think it's about time that women and non-White men get a chance to be President.

I don't have anything against White men, but they are not the only ones capable of running this country. In fact some of them have done a pretty lousy job of it.

I don't think a person should get to be president just because they are female, but I also don't think that she should be kept from being president just because she is female.

Other countries have had women leaders, but it's ironic that in the United States many people are still asking the question "is America ready for a woman president?".

I say yes, America is ready for a woman president, particularly given some of the lousy men presidents we have had.

I think she will either make or break it for women. Personally I think she is riding the shirt tail of her husband Bill. We need extremely positive foreign policy right now. Is Hillary the right person? She also is an advocate of abortion and gay marriage. I dont hate gays but marriage is not a political choice, it was created by God's law. It was'nt made up by a man or woman. So if you want marriage but not God, then just shack up together and play house like alot of people do. Just dont expect to make it legal when the legality of the whole institution is Godly not worldy. Women tend to make business realations personal, so if she gets pissed at someone, she might go off on them. I hope who ever we get in there, they will help get more jobs that pay decent with bennefits. There are too many people working there butt off in this country without health insurance. Take a look at Canada. They are a breath of fresh air when you look at their health care policies. Man, the list can go on forever. I just know that if Condi Rice was running for the office against "Billary", Id vote Condi. Id vote Condi over alot of men. SHE ROCKS!

I'd like to see a female president in my lifetime. Hillary would not work out, so I hope some others get nominated.

I think it would be grand if Hillary and Merkel just had little pow wows like who does your nails. Talking about things real americans talk about. Rather than who are we going to invade and how do we get the populace behind it.

Hillary would probably be the worst president we ever had, possibly even worse than Jimmy Carter. Fortunately, I don't think she will win. I wouldn't mind if we had a competent and honest woman president, but "Cattle Futures and Health Care" Hillary? That would be a disaster.

Yes I agree. This is good for our country. I would very much like to see a woman and anyone else who clearly qualifies to be able to run without the limits of the ceilings.

When Hillary is elected? That's a big IF. George Soros has his money on Obama.
