The main place you'll want to look is under the control panel, providing you're running windows. You can go to the Start Menu - Settings - Control Panel. When you are there, click find the computer icon named System, and double click on it. Under the general tab, you'll find your processor power, and amount of RAM. These are the main two things you need to check when buying a game.
Hope that helps!

type in dxdiag in the run box. It should load and have 5 or 6 tabs on information on your computer.
