Politics have a direct effect on the quality of your life. If no one was concerned with what the politicians were and weren't doing, then they would (slowly, but surely) make themselves all powerful, and make us powerless. Our rights (along with our money and property) would no longer be ours.
You go and have fun now, but remember why you are allowed to have fun - because someone is still trying to hold the government accountable for what it does and doesn't do.

because of politics, you have a life.
the reason you are able to speak your ideas is because of politics...
the reason you are able to hang out with your friends instead of laboring for dictators is because of politics...
go to north korea and then come back and ask that question.

good thing you hafta have pubic hairs to vote.
yea, a lot of hilter-survivors, when interviewed, said that it was way cooler then people who talk about politics.
