Glynnis - I am not an expat if you are referring to me but you have to agree that sacrificing animals to the Gods is not a modern day practice.Netiher is legalising Witch Doctors and the trade in human body parts, especially children. And that is only a few of the Stone Age practices.

Sadly only a. The barbaric practises involving ritual torture and slaughter of animals is still very much the in-thing in South Africa. Anyone who voices and opinion opposing it will be labelled a racist.

Hopefully both! But the "white only" signs does not bother me. Only ignorant people will have them! And thankfully ex-pats who whinge and moan are extinct in SA. Although there are a few here who I would LOVE to get rid of.

a) - whites only signs are longggggggg past - if mandela had his way they would be Blacks Only now, as long as its supporters are ANC and not IFP, which brings me to
b) - stone age practices are still very much in - to mention but a few, black men have still burnt black women for being successful business women in the past 15 yrs for turning their backs on tradition, blaming them for crop failures etc, children's body fluids and body parts are still used by witch doctors, so there you have the facts. which brings me to
c) - its not a black white thing, its not a balck black thing, its not a black / white / coloured thing - its the conflict between the stone age traditions and modern standards and expectations cross culturally.

as far as I know they both are not extinct if i would have choose I'd say the stone age Practises. b/c it is quite modern out there.

Funny how whites only signs have been replaced by black only assumptions - which is more insidious?
At least apartheid was outright! Not that I condone it but then nor do I condone what is going on now.

Hair rasing question really.
Im south african and I dont like things like this to answer. Things change and we cant help it. Some times for the better.
I cant wait to go back home for a holiday, could not stay there now though.
