No, they will just eat more melons, and will not have a problem.
If course when exposed to sun melanin increases in the skin. That's what suntanning is all about.
Eventually it is possible that they will become darker. Look at the Australian Abos. They are Caucasians, they are 'white' men, but many of them are blacker than the darkest African.

Since dark skin color has to do with an adaptation to UV radiation, global warming probably will have no effect on skin color. Global warming means that more heat gets trapped in our atmosphere, and has no affect whatsover on the amount of UV rays from the sun hitting our skin.

Defining race is extremely difficult and it is impossible to define who is "white" and who isn't. Any system you use to define people by skin colour could be used just as well to define people by height.
By the way, the term "abos" in reference to the indigenous people of Australia is as insulting as the term "ni*ger" is in America. Unfortunately Yahoo doesn't recognise this as it allows me to type one but not the other.

hehehe....well i am quite pale and I'm not white. So I have lack of melon...and in that essence African Americans got it better then. well lack of pigment....those albinos would suffer most...i think that by then interracial marriage would be so prevalent that would not be the case. but who knows?
