Absolutely not. The GOP gov from Douth Dakota would then replace him with a republican to tip the balance of power in the Senate. That is not what the people voted for in November. We would loose all accountablity of the Executive (again) if that were to happen. Then it would be disaster part 2.

No, why should he? There is no law that says he must. His condition is getting better. I know some people are drooling as they wait for his demise or resignation so the Republican governor of S.D. can appoint a Republican. The people voted for that Democrat and that is what they want.

If he can't do his job, then yes, he should resign. He's not doing the people of North Dakota any favors by lying in a hospital bed.
