I have sometimes seen places that seemed "normal", but somehow they just rubbed me the wrong way for no known reason. For example, once when my mother and I were riding in the car in a rural area, we saw an old white farm house. My mom talked about how much she liked it, and though I normally like old houses, too, I thought that there was a somewhat sinister feel about it. Also, I got the same feel when I saw an episode of "This Old House". It was a typical old house in New England, but for some reason, it kind of gave me the willies.

Yep. There's a house not too far from mine with a stop sign in front of it. I was in my car once, stopping at the sign, looked over at the house (old two story brick place, nice looking house, really). A light was on downstairs but as I watched, the house went black. And no, I'm not saying someone turned out the light. From the middle of the house it just went black and spread, within about 10 seconds the whole house was dark, all the hair on my arms and the back of my neck were on end.... I was outta there.

A few years later though, one of my father's friends was restoring it, my mom wanted to go take a look and asked if I wanted to go with. If I had realized that it was -that- house before we left, I probably wouldn't have gone. But I went. I nosed around. I made peace with the house and left. Still feel a little strange driving by it at night, but it hasn't done that to me since....

Yes. I was recently on a boat going up a river that connects with the ocean... about 10 minutes into it, my sister and I both got creeped out and said, 'Geez this place gives you the feel of that movie Deliverance.' We were going to find a bald head eagle nest but turned around and left. LOL

Yes I think a place can look nice but if something bad happened there it can stay in the atmosphere. Sometimes energies from that happening stay in the air. Also sometimes spirits get stuck in a place as they want to resolve something or are looking for something.

When I go into the building the first thing I note is the vibe I receive from it. If I am uncomfortable there, there is something wrong in the building - a negative, horrible energy. I usually don't stay very long.

sometimes what your conscious mind ignores, your unconscious mind picks up on right away when your awake, you described it as "the willies" and your right, I would not ignore a feeling like that when approaching strange ground, it's your subconscious minds way of telling you it saw something your conscious mind missed!!

yes that happens to me as well. It is best to pay attention to these "feelings". They are usually right about places and people too. Trust your instincts!
