*The slope formula is m = [second y - first y]/[second x - first x]...
First: replace the points with the corresponding variables...
m = [-2 - 3]/[3 - (-2)]
m = -5/[3 + 2]
m = -5/5

Slope is just Change in Y divided by Change in X, sometimes called 'RISE/RUN' - in other words, how fast are we going up or down for how fast we go out on the X axis?
So, If point 1 is (-2, 3) and point 2 is (3, -2), we get this:
(Y2-Y1)/(X2-X1) or... (-2 - 3)/(3- -2)
Which is the same as (-5)/(5) = -1.
Hope this helps!

factor is a pair of coordinates that tell the values on the x-axis and y-axis. (x,y) 2 factors are required to outline a line. occasion: factor a million= (2,3) factor 2 = (4,5) factor a million (x1=2, y1=3) factor 2 (x2=4, y2=5) shows labels assigned to coordinates. Slope is exchange in y over exchange in x. exchange in top simply by fact the run will advance. Slope m = exchange in y over exchange in x . m = (y2-y1)/(x2-x1) (9,2) (3,14) m= [14 - 2] / [3 - 9] learn this formula you will use if often.

slope/intercept form of the equation for a line is: y = mx + c.
Now plug in the two points and solve. We get 3 = -2m + c and -2 = 3m + c. Substract the two equationns to eliminate c and get 5 = -5m or m = -1. Slope is -1.

Slope is "rise over run", or the change in y over the change in x. So if you're given two points (x1, y1) and (x2, y2), the slope between them is just (y2 - y1)/(x2 - x1). Plug in the corresponding values and you'll find the answer.

The slope formula is
m = (y2 - y1) / (x2 - x1)
Plugging in (-2, 3) for (x1,y1) and (3, -2) for (x2,y2), we have
m = (-2 - 3) / (3 - (-2))
m = (-5) / (5)
m = -1
