Yes, as others have stated that having longer periods between your cycles is very normal. In fact, I am around 26 and I never have a constant period - it depends on your body. I have a friend that barely even had periods until she had her first child (which was years after her first period). Her doctors told her that her periods would stick to be untimely until she had her first child - which would (I know gross) open her up more way down there. Don't worry, you are completely normal. Since it is very tricky to understand everything there is to know about menustration, I have added a few good sites that I think have wonderful information that will help. Good Luck!

It would be nice to know when you first started your period, because sometimes when you start it takes a while for the body to create the monthly pattern. I don't think it is abnormal, but you should go to a gynocologist to get the real guidance. In the meantime, here's a web site you can browse through.

This is normal for about the first year or so. Even once you do get on a set cycle you can skip a month due to illness or stress.

Yes my sisters all ave periods like that. Sometimes it happens when we go on diets or begin exercise programs. Have started high school this year? Our periods then to regulate to that of our family and friends. If this is new and sudden talk to your Doctor.

It is normal...but, it's not very healthy. The best way to get this under control is to be on birth control. Now, I know that the second birth control is brought up to the parents, a red flag goes up and they may refuse to take you to get it (this happened to my friend). But do your research, or better yet, do it with your parents (or maybe just your mom) and discuss with them what you are going through.
