I am a new timer in babysitting but this summer I have to babysit by little sister who is 3 years old and I have to babysit another little boy who is 4 years old. The little boys older sister will be helping me but I still am not sure what I really need to know for when its time to babysit them. Also my mom and the boys mom will be paying me and the boys older sister but how much do you think they should pay us for the hours of about 7:45 - 5:00? Thanks for helping me cause I really need it.

That's a LONG time to watch kids (especially two). How long are you watching them for (the whole summer? Mon-Fri?)

Find out how much childcare costs in your area per week if that's the case. Deduct or add as you see fit. Mom is getting someone in her home so her children are comfortable but she is footing the food bill too, so check into that and come up with a number.

That's a big job you're in for!
Best thing for kids that young, take them to a park on most days and have crafty things for them to do before hand so when it's time, you don't have to think about it and get all the stuff together.
Spend lots of time outside with them and get them down for a nice nap in the afternoon.
Good luck to you!

First, contact your local park district or YMCA. Most offer a basic babysitting course that includes CPR training, a must with small children.
After you take the class, you can command a higher wage. You are now certified in CPR, you deserve to be compensated.
Personally, I feel you should set a flat weekly rate of $275, for 45 hours of work. (It's equal to about $6.00 per hr) anything over 45 hrs will be charged $10/hr. Keep track of your hours, just like a regular time sheet. You are young but that doen't mean adults should take advantage of you.
Good luck!
