Bush could find a cure for cancer and Liberals would still find something wrong with it.

Congress can override a veto by Bush... Dems may not control 2/3rds of both houses, but sometimes even politicians feel the need to act on behalf of the people they serve rather than voting strictly by party affiliation.

It is possible to override a veto, but unlikely. As you point out it would require a bipartisan supermajority. Hopefully, most liberals still believe in the foundation for the constitution enough for that situation not to bother us. The Democrats will recapture the presidential veto when they return to the White House, which is fine.

Not at all, if the president does not cooperate the congress still has the authority to cut the funding and disapprove of his budget, this is checks and balance, also do not be surprised if some repuglicans break from the traditional party rubber stamp as they are up for election in 08 and the president can not run again. Thank God.

You can't say they could never override a veto. There have been several Republicans who have been critical of the president lately and it's possible that given the right issue, we could see a veto overturned in congress.
