DISCLAIMER: Firstly, I am Canadian, born and bred. Secondly, I wouldn't live in any other country. There, that's out of the way. Now on to my post.

I always hear about how friendly Canadians are, but I don't really find us that friendly towards each other in many cases. To be honest, I find us to be more aloof than "friendly."

I've also heard horror stories about Canadians being drunken ******* when in other countries. Friends of mine from the UK told me they were "shocked" at how many drunken, beligerent Canadians they saw when visiting Cuba ... and this is coming from Brits!

Also, I've been to Buffalo, New York, USA enough to know that every weekend the downtown area is full of drunk Canadians yelling and fighting in the streets.

A taxi driver in Buffalo once told me he dreaded having to pick up Canadian fares because Canadians were bad for being drunken louts, not tipping, and even skipping out on the bill!!

Are we really this bad???

Honeslty, every where we go, no matter what country or state we are in, we will find someone not so freindly.
yes I have seen some drunk candadians also I have seen alot of drunk americans as well, and americans can be just as beligerent as any one else when drinking
however i have come across alot of canadians which were very polite and curtious and freindly.

and some have alot of concern too,
one canadian came up and ask arent americans suppose to wear a helment when riding or driving ona motorcycle, I said Yes, but some states dont have same laws as another, and I appreciate the concern for us, for it is dangerous to not wea r a helmet.& he thanked me for my kind response and not ignoring him.
So not not ALL are bad
there are Good people in every place we go,
take care & thanks for asking

Yeah Canadians are a friendly bunch i think :-) i do no longer understand why you think of maximum Canadians are white and talk English yet in fact there are extra non-whites right here in Vancouver, and yeah many do no longer in basic terms like the French-talking community too plenty, possibly simply by fact they're bilingual and get each and all of the roles haha XD additionally, each and every time you're taking the bus for 10 minutes you learn like 20 new languages... ^_^ no longer plenty racism although, under different places i understand of besides. Now considering the fact that there're people from international right here, that's difficult to tell who's a foreigner and who isn't, yet once you're finding weirdly at a map and look lost we will gladly help! :-) word although, I in basic terms understand the area of Vancouver, do no longer understand how persons are someplace else. I hear the Easterners are incredibly tough although :-P

Theres no reason to believe that one nationality is better or worse than another. People are all the same where ever you come from its just that we all have different cultures. And even if you have seen a lot of canadians drunk, theyre on their holiday isn't that what we all do?? Maybe because your canadian and concerned about this, you re looking for proof that they are all drunks etc but its not true, theyre no worse or better than n e other nationality. :)

WE CANADIANS are suburb people!

It is only the ones who go to BUFFALO to get boozed up that are big poops!

I NEVER ever go to Buffalo on weekend binges!
EVER.
PS= I work and live near Vancouver B.C. Canada--------- about 3.000 miles from Buffalo
