Good question and probably one that no one can answer. A moment in time is likely different for different people. It's easy to say it was in the future before it was in the present and that it became the past after it occurred, but that is not an answer, merely an observation. Without an observer it all becomes meaningless, for example your moment in time is totally different from mine and although they both exist to each of us, they don't to each other. Some people say things are not as they are, they are as we are.

It was in the future. After it's over it's in the past.

The future doesn't exist because it has yet to occur. The past doesn't exist because it has ceased to occur. The only thing that exists is the present.
