This GameStop store in my city is offering $200 off a PS3 if you turn in a PS2 and any 10 games. My theory was "No" because I paid between $40 and $50 bucks for each game. When they sell these games, it would probably be for $20 each. That's $200 right there. Then, they will sell your system for $100. That's $300 right there in total, only to get $200 off?

I'm a person that really knows the value of a dollar and even if I give up my 10 crappiest games, I still can't see that deal going down. Tell me what you think.

That really seems like you're getting the short end of the stick. You're giving up 10 games and a PS2 just to get $200 off for a PS3. So, you lose your PS2, 10 games you more than likely paid good money for, and the rest of the money it would take to buy the PS3, and you get a PS3 with no games. Then the games cost $63 w/ tax. My advice would be to get an Xbox 360. They cost less than PS3, have MUCH better games, and have many more enjoyable features than PS3.

The real question is this, "Would you rather keep your extra $200 and give up 10 games or would you rather shell out the additional $200?" The bottom line with a place like Gamestop is that you are always getting the short end of the stick, so it just a matter of whether your priority is more PS2 games and your PS2 system, or an extra $200.

obviously not. BUT if u were going to do that seperately, then u would get less money. i sold my ps2 (old one) for 40 dollars and the games for like 3 dollars each and 2.50 for every 4 (like 2.50 extra). so if u did it seperately u would get around 75. u always are getting ripped of. u can try selling them on ebay. or if u want a quick solution go for the deal. if u think ur never gonna play ur ps2 games again, then just sell them (and the system)

talking about the ps3's value, if u want a bluray player then the money is worth is. because the cheapest bluray player is $1000

Just wait on the PS3, your going to feel like you got gipped when Sony's forced to drop the price. Not like there's any good games for it right now anyways, besides Resistance.
