The Toiletseat Virus- Stays on your computer for two years until it becomes physically fused to your hard drive. The Microsoft Virus- Takes over files at exponential rates until it consumes 30 million files an hour. The Yahoo Answers Virus- Randomly deletes files at the suggestion of other files. The Chuck Norris Virus- Electronically roundhouse kicks your hard drive to death. That's all I've got for now.

SaService.exe is definitely part of McAfee Site Advisor. My dad's PC was having this problem today, and I booted into safe mode (press F8 as the computer boots) and uninstalled the program, as we didn't need it on the system. After uninstalling it, the problem was solved after rebooting into normal mode again.

One note: during the uninstall, it complained that it couldn't connect to a website on McAfee - the uninstaller trys to open this page, but I had chosen safe mode without network support, so it couldn't open - giving the error. This is fine - close the window, and then reboot. You should be able to try reinstalling the program if you wish to use it.

I have had 2 experiences with this over the weekend. On one computer I was able to unistall Site Advisor and all is well. On the other computer I haven't been successful with uninstalling Site Advisor yet. What suddenly caused this problem? Did McAfee do an update on the Site Advisor that went wrong???

Thank you AZCASABRA. You helped me a lot. I too had the SAService.exe problem which was slowing down my computer and don't let me click on any program without its interference. I didn't go to Safe mode. I just downloaded the Mc afee site advisor and it worked and eliminated the pop up Saservice.exe error window so far.
I hope this helps others. I will notify Mcafee today.

I had the same problem. So, I started my computer in SAFE mode..that's where you press F8 when starting up. Then I tracked down where SAService.exe lives. It is a component of McAfee called Site Advisor Service and it lives in the Services portion of you computer. I temporarily disabled it...and am trying to track down the problem with McAfee. They have nothing on their web-site about this problem so I suspect that it is a new one for them. I would strongly advise anyone with this problem to notify McAfee and let them handle it. DO NOT download anything that comes up on Google that says it will fix it...none of those sites are McAfee approved. I'm still waiting for a viable answer...but patience is a virtue. Maybe.

You CAN re-download Site Advisor from McAfee from their web-site...just do that and it seems to fix the problem. So far, so good.

It's funny you have this problem. I just came home from my dad's house and his computer was doing the same thing. I got rid of it by going to Start, Search, files and folders then type in saservice.exe. when it is found (my dad had two applications) delete them and all was well. It was probably something he downloaded that he didn't need. Hope it works for you. Good luck
