i mean i no green is like okay but why did they choose that color!

it's a conspiracy...green is for greed...the government wants to see how it would affect us...to fight over it...you never saw me...just joking

i guess it was just a color that was chosen

As far as the money in the U.S.A. - No definite explanation can be made for the original choice; however, it is known that at the time of the introduction of small-sized notes in 1929, the use of green was continued because pigment of that color was readily available in large quantities, the color was relatively high in its resistance to chemical and physical changes, and green was psychologically identified with the strong and stable credit of the Government.

Durning the Civil War the Union and the Confederacy need finacial aid, so the Union printed money called "green-backs" which was obviously green, and the Confederacy followed. However it wasn't backed up by gold or sliver like the back of the US so it was worthless, people uesd it as wall paper and little girls made dolls out of it.

So that is how money got to be green, from "green backs" in the Civil War

in my country some are green and other are blue or brown


because usa is full of forest parks and so u have many green colour!!

green is also the colour of the luck and means something hopefull!!

It depends on the country. Canada also has blue and red. So does Hong Kong, it has purple, green, red, and yellow.

American dollars are green.but euros and UK pounds aren't. they have different colours for different notes. are you talking about US dollars?
